Valentine’s Day is a great time to celebrate the loves in your life… even if they’re just made of fabric and hanging in your closet. We’re indulging in the Valentine’s spirit this year and dressing the part. We invited a few Gwynnie Bee team members to play dress up for the holiday… see what they wore below (and tips to style it!).
For a more subtle style, try this checked dress that has all of the sweetness of the holiday without any direct references. Simple silver jewelry completes the look without much fuss. Stefanie opted for maroon heels, but you could go metallic, or try a different pop of color all your own.
Give yourself a bouquet in the form of this floral fit-and-flare. The embroidered blooms float around you for an easy Valentine’s day or night look. A pop of pink earrings pulls the color from the skirt and treat yourself to a rose to finish it off – why not!
If casual is the way you like to go, try a simple red and black striped cotton dress. This is nothing but easy and breezy, dressed up or down with pumps or even Converse (a personal favorite of Emilia’s). Feeling bold? Add a big statement necklace and a bold lip. Feeling laid back? A low ponytail and a denim jacket will do the trick.
If va-va-voom is your cup of tea, this bodycon off-the-shoulder red number cannot be passed up. Bold pumps elongate the look, and Shawn’s chic, short haircut highlights her shoulders for a subtle type of sexy.
For a look that’s romantic and feminine, try a metallic flared skirt with a maroon top tucked in. The gold and maroon combo takes the holiday to the next level. If your night out requires a bit of shimmer and shine, this is the look for you.
