Style It! Bring the Holiday into Everyday

The holiday season comes with some of our favorite dressing accoutrements: sequins, metallic, lace, plaid and more. When there are so many options, we refuse to limit dressing festive to our soirées – we’re bringing the holiday into the whole month. Whether it’s work, grabbing dinner with friends, a family event, or more. we have six looks to make the everyday special this holiday season, and light up any room you walk into.

Look #1

The Special Piece:
A sparkly sequin boot.

Where to Wear It:
Around the office or doing some holiday shopping.

Style It:
If there is any time of year to rock a sequin shoe casually, it’s the holiday season. Let it be the pop of something special to your outfit, while the rest of your look is streamline and classic. A white blouse and a dark denim make the base of the look. Finish the look with a couldn’t-be-chicer cape in a rich burgundy.

Nine West Bordeaux Cape With Leather Trim

Look #2

The Special Piece: A metallic skirt.

Where to Wear It: To work or at a casual get-together with girlfriends.

Style It: Pair your metallic skirt with a soft knit sweater layered over a white button down. To further dress it down, add a leopard print flat and a imperfect top knot. The matte color of the shoe grounds the metallic skirt, making it more casual. This look goes from being purely party to playful with the addition of the graphic sweater and fun flats.

Look #3

The Special Piece: Plaid & lace detailing.

Where to Wear It: In the workplace or for an off-site meeting.

Style It: Plaid and lace are two of the seasons recurring favorites. To bring these materials into your day-to-day, try them on a sweater and with a pencil skirt in a monochromatic palette. The shades of grey make this look office-ready while celebrating the details of the season.

Look #4

The Special Piece: A bold red dress.

Where to Wear It: From desk to dinner or to your office holiday event.

Style It: When your office holiday event happens right after work, this is the perfect transitional style to take you from desk to evening. Let the red dress shine, while adding a printed tight for extra warmth, comfort, and style. A basic black shoe and your classic work bag pulls double duty from day-to-night. Consider throwing on a more festive earring or lipstick for your after-hours party.

Sangria Wrap Dress In Scarlet Red

Look #5

The Special Piece: Plaid, ruffles, and pearls.

Where to Wear It: In the office or out to dinner.

Style It: This flirty, plaid number is not only appropriate for the office, but would fit in at a family party this season. Plaid, ruffles, and pearls may feel like holiday overload but done in a simple sheath, with touches of pearls in your necklace and shoe does the trick nicely.

Tahari ASL Shift Dress In Green Plaid

Look #6

The Special Piece: A sparkly party dress.

Where to Wear It: Your glam holiday party. (We had to throw in just one!)

Style It: A dress with some subtle shine through it (like this RACHEL Rachel Roy one) requires very little. Try a metallic belt and some party earrings and you’re ready to go! This dress would work with anything from velvet booties, to a holiday pump.
