Last week designer Eden Miller of Cabiria made fashion history when she proudly sent looks from her Spring/Summer 2014 collection down the runway at New York Fashion Week. We at Gwynnie Bee are big fans of Miss Miller’s and we couldn’t have been more thrilled to have had the opportunity to attend what has widely been acknowledged as a truly momentous occasion: the first ever plus size fashion show to appear in New York Fashion Week. The Cabiria Fashion Show was indeed a victory – not only for the plus community, but for the fashion industry at large. We’re delighted to share some of our highlights from the show with you!

As seen in the New York Times, Oprah.com, and Elle Magazine, the blog, Garnerstyle, is all about dispelling the myths of plus size fashion and making it both stylish and accessible through outfit posts, closet building tips, and all the style advice we can muster. The girl behind the blog, Chastity Garner Valentine, loves to keep her style fresh and ever-changing, but still keeping true to her classic aesthetic. Today we launch her curated collection, Chastity Garner’s Gorgeous Grabs!
When it comes to pin-up style Gwynnie Bee member Amber McCulloch is best in show. The look that’s become synonymous with curvy confidence is one of her go-to’s; she regularly features pin-up looks on her site Style Plus Curves. We were thrilled when she agreed to put her signature vintage spin on some of our favorite Gwynnie Bee pieces. Read some of her tips below, then check out her blog to see them all.

When looking at those “Day to Night” style guides in our favorite glossy magazines, some of us can’t help but wonder: whose daily life is being illustrated? Who is this woman who needs a wardrobe that will take her from brunch with friends to the beach to an art gallery opening to a night out on the town (and how do we steal her life)?
