New Arrivals: Styling for Spring

It’s one of our favorite days – new arrivals day!

This new set includes a variety of spring-appropriate pieces from colorful tunics to cardigans to dresses. We know some of our members are staring at snow outside their windows, and understand if you’re not jumping up and down for warmer weather items. With a little bit of styling using staple items you likely already have, you can get excited for spring without shivering.

A big trend that is featured in these new arrivals is that of the belted dress. These are great because they work for casual day, work, night, or special occasions. We have a feeling these might take a little bit longer to come back to us as you’ll find so many different places to wear them.

Lands End Belted Scoopneck Dress, Sizes 0x-3x
Jones New York Belted Cap Sleeve Dress, Sizes 10-22W
Lands End Printed Scoopneck Dress, Sizes 0x-3x
Spense Cap Sleeve Floral Dress, Sizes 14W-22W

Styling suggestions:

  • Cooler weather, day look: Add a leather or faux-leather jacket over any of these looks with tights or leggings and a pair of booties or knee-high boots.
  • Cooler weather, work-appropriate: Remove the belt and add a full length or 3/4 sleeve cardigan. Add a metallic belt over top of the cardigan at the smallest part of your waist. Wear with opaque tights and a pair of your favorite closed-toed pumps.
  • Easter brunch or any other daytime occasion: Remove the belt and layer with a lighter colored cardigan and add a thin belt over top of it. Wear with pantyhose and a closed-toed wedge. Optionally, add a loose silk neck scarf for more color or print contrast.
  • Warmer weather, day look: Wear as shown without any additional layers of clothes. Add accessories in bulk – think multiple long necklaces or a stack of bracelets. Keep earrings simple if you have multiple necklaces on as anything more will just conflict with the impact of the necklaces. Add your favorite strappy sandal.

What do you think of the newest arrivals? Any plans for adding a belted dress to your Gwynnie Bee closet?
