Gwynnie Bee is at the forefront of changing the retail industry: ditching the concept of owning and turning clothing into an experience – and our members are the early adopter of this retail revolution. We are inspired by the women in our community and take all opportunities to highlight them. Today, we’re introducing you to four members of our community: Erin, Dawn, Ashleigh, and Katie and celebrating their their style, strength, and reasons they’ve embraced this new way to explore fashion.

Meet Erin:

When did you join GB?
I joined in mid 2015 – crazy that it’s been almost 3 years of membership!

Why did you join GB?
I originally joined because I was looking for a clothing subscription box so that I could mix up my everyday work outfits. But I was having a difficult time finding a subscription box that would send me clothes that would fit. I found Gwynnie Bee and knew that it was for me!

Best benefit of being a GB member?
I feel inspired whenever I get sent something new. I try to create a few different looks based on one piece. It’s also awesome that I got to stay a member all through out my recent pregnancy – I got to still enjoy my GB membership while my body changed. Not many people can say that they still felt cute while being 9 months pregnant! Plus, I didn’t feel guilty about buying clothes I would only wear for a few weeks or months – I could just switch them out!

How many people have you turned on the service?
I’ve told literally everyone I know about Gwynnie Bee, it really has changed the way I shop so I can’t stop talking about it! 🙂 When my coworkers joined, we’d have our boxes sent to us at the office so that we could do unboxings together!

What do the words innovation, disruption and revolutionary mean to you?
They mean that the conventional way is not the only way. I love that breaking the rules and looking at things from a different angle can be beneficial for so many!

If you could say one thing to the founders/leaders of GB what would that be?
Thank you for creating something that has revolutionized the way I look at shopping and clothes! And for inspiring me every time I get a new shipment!

Meet Dawn:

When did you join GB?
August 2013 was my first shipment

Why did you join GB?
I have always had trouble finding clothes that fit well. I’m a practical person, but not afraid to pay for quality. I wanted to become a GB member because I loved the idea of wearing trendy pieces without having to own them. I have always hated wasting money, and clothing, on pieces I might only wear a year or two before it went out of style. I love the sustainability aspect of Gwynnie Bee. Our natural resources are better utilized when a garment is worn more than a handful of times.

How has GB changed the way you shop?
I don’t like shopping in stores anymore- I get frustrated with lack of style and selection. I still use retail stores for undergarments, swimsuits and sleepwear- but even those I mostly buy online.

Best benefit of being a GB member?
Confidence. I look professional every day, and I also most never repeat outfit. No dry cleaning is a close second.

How would you describe your personal style?
Fun professional- and that doesn’t have to be a contradiction. I lean more professional when I have a big meeting and more fun when I know I am hanging around the office. Professional can still be floral, bright, or trendy.

In 140 characters or less, How would you describe GB to your friends and family. What would be the hashtag?
I always call it my clothes library- where everything I check out is clean, and returns are never late. #InfiniteWardrobe

Meet Ashleigh:

When did you join GB?
December 2013

Best benefit of being a GB member?
No commitment! If a garment is not working when I try it on, I can pop it in the return bag and in just a few days, I have a new item to try. My weight also fluctuates, so some times of the year one size will fit better than the other. Gwynnie Bee gives me the flexibility to closet my favorite items in whatever size I’m currently running.

How many people have you turned on the service?
I evangelize Gwynnie Bee everywhere I go! In my office, when I travel, out on the town – I’m constantly getting compliments on how fashionable or beautiful my clothes are. That’s a perfect introduction to GB!

How has GB changed the way you shop even beyond clothes?
I love the idea of reducing waste and excess, but am not always good at executing that plan! GB by nature is helping its customers reduce the amount of clothing in their closets by having a community wardrobe to choose from.

If you could say one thing to the founders/leaders of GB what would that be?
Thank you for creating this service! Not only does it provide a convenient way of shopping for me, it has quite literally changed who I am. Before Gwynnie Bee, my self confidence fluctuated as much as my clothing size. Having GB in my life has shown me, more than ever, that if I look great, I will feel great. I exude so much more confidence and happiness due to the gorgeous clothes I get to wear every day and everyone around me takes notice.

If you could be any superhero what would it be and why?
I would be The Flash because I never feel like there is enough time in the day and having super speed would get back some of my most precious commodity!

Meet Katie:

When did you join GB?
June 2015

Why did you join GB?
I love fashion and I love always being able to wear something new.

How has GB changed the way you shop?
I have become more open to trying styles I wouldn’t normally wear.

Number one tip for maximizing your virtual wardrobe?
Get out of your comfort zone and try new things!

If you could be any superhero what would it be and why?
I know it’s a typical answer, but I would choose Wonder Woman. The reason is because she believes humans can be better, and she strives to that herself. She is completely trustworthy and unfailingly courageous. She is compassionate toward everyone, no matter who they are. She has no bias except that all people should be valued equally and treated with respect. She’s emotional and confident, yet also insecure. She knows how to love. Those are the reasons I would be like Wonder Woman.
