Gwynnie Bee: Spotted On the Red Carpet!

For special events, what we’re wearing is crucial. But we know, finding the perfect fit can be hard – a fact that is true for everyone – even celebrities. Leslie Jones recently called out designers on Twitter when she struggled to find someone to design a dress for her recent movie premiere, and Christian Siriano stepped up for a jaw-dropping red carpet moment.

This really struck a chord with us at Gwynnie Bee, where we know style has no size. So for TV’s biggest night, when we got the opportunity to design a dress for a woman whose spirit, humor, and talent we admire deeply, our in-house design team leapt to the task.

Comedy actress, Sol Miranda, spotted rocking a custom Gwynnie Bee gown down the Emmys red carpet this weekend!

How did our amazing team and Sol come together? Sol feels it was the perfect fit:

“I believe in trusting designers to work with my body, while at the same time capturing my personality. The kind of people GB has assembled together – how can you not have a great product when the people get along and respect each other and are having fun?”

We’re blushing!

The Dress:

  • Our design team created a “Grecian inspired evening gown with sophisticated fluidity”.
  • The dress was a dark teal silk chiffon with an asymmetric cobalt and seafoam underlay.
  • Sol shows off her favorite feature: her legs!
  • Pops of magenta in the waistband (hand beaded!) mirrored her bright and bold personality.

Creating a dress for the Emmys was a dream come true, but working with Sol Miranda was even better. Her sense of humor is electric, her warm heart glows, and her personality packs a punch. Sol left us inspired:

“Connect with life. Good stuff happens. Get busy, don’t wait on the phone for no one or nothing, and just keep creating everyday.”

Congratulations on your big night, Sol. We are honored to have worked with you!
