Taking your look from day-to-night has never been easier. We teamed up with Brett Jackson, a makeup artist from Stylisted, who shows us how to transition your every day look into an evening one, in under 10 minutes. We also added a few styling tips to pull the whole look together. Shown off on Shannon Miller, this is an easy look, anyone can accomplish on their way out the door. Watch the Facebook Live video below for the full tips, and read on to see close ups of the final product.
When putting together your perfect outfit, choosing a lipstick to complement is usually the last step. But when you find that spot-on lipstick, why not start there! Whether you’re a lover of Cherry Red, or a deeper Spiced Rum, we’ve got some outfit inspiration to go with it.
If you’re in search of the perfect makeup to take you from day to night then look no further than this sultry look from the runway at Jason Wu. Layered shimmery shadows give a multidimensional look that’s neutral and bright enough to take you through a day at the office, but has just enough edge and sparkle to turn heads on a night out. Gwynnie Bee staffer Lisa shows us how.
Minimal effort, maximum effect. These three long hair ‘dos are quick and easy! All you’ll need is a brush, some bobby pins, and a hair tie. And a sock. Preferably freshly laundered. (Socks: so hot right now!) April showers bring May flowers — and a month of bad hair days. Enough with the frizz frustration! Get your hair up and out of your face with out looking like you just gave up on your manic mane altogether. GB staffer Doni shows us how it’s done.
We’ll admit to being a little skeptical about the purple lip trend that’s been popping up on runways and in editorial spreads, but after experimenting with the look ourselves, we’re sold. The key is finding a shade that complements your skin tone. We used a bright matte shade with pinky undertones on GB staffer Lisa that worked with her creamy complexion and made her blue eyes really stand out. We pulled our inspiration for the complete look from the models at Prabal Gurung who rocked cat eyes to balance out their punchy pouts.
Nothing says spring like a bright pop of color. Bright orange lips were all over the runway this season, from Nanette Lepore to Donna Karan to Rag & Bone — it’s already being hailed “the new red lip” and like red lipstick, it looks great on everyone. We loved this dewy and feminine spin on the punchy pout from DKNY so much we wanted to recreate the look to share with you. GB staffer Lisa shows us how it’s done.
