Snaps to Sexy at Every Curve

This is a guest post from Emily Sandford of Authentically Emmie

As a plus size woman, it can take a lot of imagination to look at a magazine and picture how you would look in the clothes. Some companies are stepping up big time by working to celebrate curves not traditionally seen, and Swimsuits For All is the most recent company to make me stand up and applaud.

I was already a fan of the company for partnering with blogger Gabi Gregg of GabiFresh on a bikini collaboration last year. (Check out Gabi rocking Gwynnie Bee on her blog.) I proudly wore my first bikini last summer because of that campaign. This year, they’ve teamed up with her again, and in addition, re-created some images reminiscent of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

The sexy swim shoot, dubbed “Sexy at Every Curve” paired Gabi with plus size models Jada Sezer, Shareefa J, and Robyn Lawley (whose swim designs are also sold on the site) to produce a stunning calendar.

We need to applaud and spread efforts like these to bring all body types into the media. Kudos to Swimsuits For All and those involved. Here’s hoping that these images will help others feel positive about their bodies and embrace them. View the campaign here.

Do you enjoy these types of body positive campaigns?
